Modern and cloud based applications bring new challenges with their microservices architecture and large-scale distributed nature. Those complex software systems are harder to understand, test and debug and as a result, increasing the risk of failures. With these new challenges, new approaches and tools are required and since failures have become more and more chaotic in nature, we should fight fire with fire and turn to chaos engineering in order to reveal failures before they become outages.
In this talk, we will make an introduction to resiliency and chaos engineering, a discipline that promotes breaking things on purpose in order to learn how to build more robust systems and introduce ways to designing large-scale resilient architectures.
